Job Description: HGV Operators – Disab/Jet Vac

Based: Ayrshire

Contract Hours: Full time (plus occasional weekend/evening work as and when required)

We have an excellent reputation across the UK and are looking to recruit HGV operators, disab/jet vacs who can offer something to our team. We are a family run business so attitude, willingness to graft, reliability and the ability to be innovative are important.  Whilst experience is desirable, a positive work attitude is essential! 

 

The job is varied and each day is different but the following is a selection of qualities/skills we would prefer as a minimum.

 

Essential Requirements:

  • Must have a willingness to work away from home and travel throughout the UK
  • Must be able to drive & operate disabs/jet vacs
  • Communication, Honesty, Efficiency, Safety and Service are our core values and are expected of the candidate
  • Physically fit
  • Effective communication with colleagues and clients
  • Able to keep good site records
  • Positive team attitude and positive work ethic
  • Great team player who can also work on own initiative
  • Able to follow orders and maintain excellent Health & Safety
  • Cleanliness of company vehicles and equipment
  • Liaising with office to maintain and improve in-house systems
  • Current and valid driving license

 

Desirable Qualities:

  • HGV Class 2 - min 1 year driving experience with Full CPC
  • PC literate
  • Good numeracy and literature skills
  • Mechanical knowledge

 

Additional Skills:

  • First Aid
  • Confined Space training
  • CSCS card
  • CCTV experience
